There we go… up!
When do cyclists like uphill movement? When it relates to cycle numbers! I am sure we will eventually all get tired of of the success (
), but right now, we love telling you about the latest gains in cycling numbers. For April 2012, it was a whole 28.6% over those of April 2011, according to the nine automatic cycle counters. Awesome. The below is shamelessly grabbed straight from the latest AT Patronage Report:
Note: If you are really on the ball, you may have noticed that these above numbers don’t seem to match those in this earlier post. On a closer look, this turns out to be because the earlier count only covered 5 counters, whereas this now covers all 9 currently active counters. Plus, the graphs have gotten fancier.

How are the numbers weighted considering that there were an extra 4 counters? From a quick observation this would appear to have caused a jump in the number of cyclists.
I’ll ask Brian Horspool to reply to this Jym – he’s the AT expert who runs this programme, as you probably know.
