Cycle Action Auckland would like to invite all our members and friends to our Annual General Meeting Thursday 25 August. Drinks and Nibbles will be available at 5:30 PM, prior to us beginning AGM business at 6 PM. We will be running a very efficient meeting, taking a break at 6:40 PM prior to introducing our Guest Speaker Stephen Town, Regional Director, NZTA at 7 PM.
Our committee is an enthusiastic and dedicated group, committed to making Auckland a better place for cycling. Currently, we have a space for an individual(s) with a similar passion for cycling within our community. Therefore we are encouraging those among you wishing to become more involved to consider putting your name forward for the 2011/2012 CAA Committee. Interested parties can contact us at chair@caa.org.nz to inquire or express their interest.
AGM SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER – 7 PM
Stephen Town, Regional Director, NZTA
Strengthening links between NZTA and the community
Stephen Town came to his new job as NZTA Regional Director for Auckland with a reputation of being the great change agent in making Tauranga friendly for cycling. Cycle lanes everywhere!
We are really enjoying working with Stephen – he has already put his stamp on Auckland by assisting with a variety of cycling initiatives. We are delighted he has agreed to be our AGM guest speaker on 25 July. It will be great to hear how we can work together even more to help achieve the mayor’s Liveable City project for Auckland.
